May 2004
AHEAD OF SCHEDULE
As of May 13, we have installed just over 30 miles of the roughly 97 track miles of rail and are scheduled to be completed by November 19th. As of now, it appears we will meet or beat that schedule. The RJ Corman crew completed the Volga to Arlington area of the project today, the 13th, and will return to the Arlington area on the 20th to begin the next portion of the project, running from Arlington to Lake Preston. This will be completed before Memorial Day.
¨
RJ
Corman completed the second section of CWR, between Volga and Lake Preston on
Thursday the 13th and will return on the 20th to complete
this stretch between Arlington and Lake Preston
¨
Engineering
forces are doing some spot tie installation and spot surfacing in this area and
we will expect to have this area up to 30 MPH early in the week of the 17th.
¨
Total
rail delivered thus far is 63 track miles.
¨
The
remaining 5 rail trains (390,000 feet) are scheduled to be here by June 30,
2004.
¨
We
expect to receive the next two rail trains on the DM&E during the week of
May 24th. These will be the last two rail trains that are currently
schedule to be delivered to the DM&E this year.
